USA: For a while, there hasn't been much talk about life at Twitter's headquarters in San Francisco. If that led you to believe that everything was resolved, you couldn't be more mistaken. According to Platformer, Elon Musk is still firing people on the spur of the moment. Top engineer who revealed to the CEO the reason for his declining Twitter following is the most recent victim.

To prove to his critics that Twitter is still active, Musk introduced the "view count" feature. Instead, it demonstrated the low level of engagement posts receive despite their large audience.

To demonstrate that they received more likes and views when in private mode, some right-wing accounts went private. Even Musk gave it a go. He didn't seem to like what he saw, to be honest.

According to reports, Musk has been concerned about his Twitter following for some time. Platformer claims that he discussed the issue with his engineers and advisors in order to find a solution.

The absurdity of this "said he. "Even though I have over 100 million followers, I only receive tens of thousands of impressions. Musk demanded an explanation of the situation.

One of the two remaining principal engineers for the company gave Musk a potential explanation. He was unhappy to hear that, though. The engineer claims that no longer does the general public show much interest in what he does. Employees provided him with internal engagement statistics and a Google Trends chart to back up their claims. The graph revealed dwindling enthusiasm for Musk.

The engineer's explanation infuriated Musk, who yelled, "You're fired, you're fired." Then it was over. Musk asked people to check the number of times his tweets are recommended after becoming dissatisfied with the engineer's work. The view count feature, which made the "like" and "retweet" buttons smaller, may be one of the factors causing decreased engagement, according to Twitter employees.

Twitter's buggy product is another reason why engagement may be declining. The social media platform has been plagued by problems, such as shifting algorithmic priorities, mentions that vanish, and erroneous tweets that suddenly appear in the timeline. One worker remarked to Platformer, "You ship your org chart, as the saying goes. "We're shipping chaos because it's chaos here right now."

Employees at Twitter are dissatisfied with their workplace, according to what they told Platformer. The majority of an employee's time is spent putting out fires, completing impossible tasks, and increasing productivity without any guidelines regarding the expected results. The employee went on to say that most fires are started by mistakenly axing the wrong people and then attempting to put them out.

Platformer reports that "where are you interviewing?" and "where do you have offers?" have become the norm on Twitter. The tech market's turbulence, however, has forced many people to keep their jobs. When Musk or his team asks a question, one employee claimed that they must choose between the "right answer" and the "least fireable answer."

Employees also have positive things to say about Musk. They consider Twitter 2.0's absence of committees to be a positive development. Musk's Twitter is very active. However, as one employee pointed out, this has two sides. "Moving that quickly could have unintended effects.  The debut of Twitter Blue is a good illustration of this.
