New Delhi: The world's richest man Elon Musk has issued a stern warning to Twitter, saying that if information about bots and fake handles is not shared, he can cancel the Twitter deal. In a letter sent to the company through the US Security and Exchange Commission (SEC), Elon Musk has said that by not sharing information on automated accounts on Twitter, the company is violating the $ 44 billion (about Rs 3.42 lakh crore) deal.

Indeed, Elon Musk wants a data for its external analysis. In a letter sent to Twitter's top lawyer Vijaya Gadde, Tesla's chairman has said that if information about bots is not given, he can exit the deal. He has filed this letter through his lawyers. A Twitter spokesperson says the company still wants to complete the transactions and mergers based on pre-determined terms and agreements.  As soon as trading began in the morning on Monday (June 6, 2022), Twitter's shares dropped 5.3 per cent to $38.02 (Rs 2954.06). At the time of writing, Twitter's shares were trading 1.49 per cent lower at $38.56 (Rs 2996.02). Elon Musk has already announced that the agreement to buy Twitter and make it a private company has been put on hold for the time being, as he needs to know how many bots are active on this platform.

Elon Musk has described himself as committed to the deal, but Twitter CEO Parag Agarwal says he is not in favour of "external analysis" in the case of bots. Elon Musk is currently the richest industrialist in the world with a net worth of $221.60 billion (Rs 17.22 lakh). They say that Twitter is breaking the rules of the agreement, they want to get the entire data analysed.
