New Delhi: After former Congress national president Rahul Gandhi, the Twitter handle of several other senior Congress leaders has now been locked. The party alleged that the Twitter accounts of All India Congress Committee General Secretary Ajay Maken, Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala, party whip in Lok Sabha Manikam Tagore, Assam Congress in-charge Jitendra Singh, and Mahila Congress unit chief Sushmita Dev have been locked.

Congress leader Ajay Maken said that Twitter has locked my account too because I too supported Rahul Gandhi against women and Dalit harassment. Soon the good days of real will come and you (Twitter) will not be afraid. That's my prediction. Congress communications department in charge Pranab Jha has said that Lord Narendra Modi, Jack, and Twitter have locked the Twitter handle of Randeep Surjewala, Ajay Maken, Sushmita Dev. Congress has registered its protest. It is said to continue the war for injustice to all.

The Congress alleged that Twitter, under pressure from the Government of India, took the action against former Congress President Rahul Gandhi Account. Rahul Gandhi had tweeted pictures of the rape and rape victim's family in Delhi last week.
