The official said police have asked the concerned officials of the Twitter to provide information on the steps taken against the materials related to sexual abuse of children on their platform and accounts circulating such content.

The Delhi Police had registered a FIR on a complaint by the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) in this regard, accusing it of allowing access to child pornography on its stage. Police said a case has been registered under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) and the Information Technology Act.
