After the drugs angle surfaced in the Bollywood actor Sushant Singh suicide case, there has been a ruckus in the Bollywood industry. Not only the NCB is engaged in the action of drugs case, but different units of the Mumbai Crime Branch are also involved in the investigation of drug mafias. The property cell of the Crime Branch has seized drugs named ECSTASY / MDMA worth 50 lakh rupees and has taken 2 criminals into custody.

The court has sent two accused named Aamir and Inayat Ali to CBI custody till 5 October. During the questioning, the accused in the drugs case told the employees that ECSTASY is in great demand of all people associated with Bollywood, the television industry and corporate profession. After one pill its effect is seen in half an hour and the person taking it goes to sleep for four-five hours. It is also being said that this pill is also banned in the NDPS Act. 

According to media reports, Inayat Ali has his own courier business. He used to send drugs to people through courier. Due to the lockdown, he had accumulated ECSTASY tablets for several months. As soon as the lockdown lifted, Inayat Ali started sending it to the people. Till now the crime branch has got some national and international links in this case. CBI is hopeful that in a few days many big names will be revealed and the drug peddlers will be arrested soon.
