New Delhi: Amid the corona epidemic, life-saving Remdesivir injections are being heavily black marketed. Police at Fatehpur Beri police station in south Delhi have busted a gang that black-marketed the Remdesivir injection and arrested two accused. The two accused arrested by the police were selling one Remdesivir injection each for Rs 70,000.

The two accused arrested by the police for black marketing of Remdesivir injection are said to be Vibhuti and Manoj. Police have seized three Remdesivir injections from them. Police at Fatehpur police station were reportedly informed that a man was about to approach the Ghitorni metro station to sell Remdesivir injections to someone at an expensive price.

Acting on a tip-off, the police set up a trap in the area. As soon as the suspect arrived with an injection, the police arrested him. Police raided and arrested a man named Manoj Kumar from the Old Rajendra Nagar area on the trail of the arrested Vibhuti. Police also recovered a Remdesivir injection from him. Police are currently interrogating them to trace the gang.
