Barpeta : Two brothers were allegedly stabbed to death in Garemari village of Barpeta district of Assam state . According to police sources, a group of people attacked two brothers with sharp knives and other weapons on Saturday over a land dispute in the village under Barpeta Sadar police station area.

 In the deadly attack, both the brothers could not survive and died. According to the statements given by the family members of the deceased, the group of attackers wanted to seize a brother and who belonged to a brother. There was a dispute over this matter, due to which both the brothers died. The attackers are reportedly residents of nearby Charakpara village. The attackers immediately fled from the spot after killing both the brothers.

One of the officials said that the police is currently investigating to nab the culprits. Later the bodies of both the brothers were sent for postmortem. Last week, the body of a youth with a cut mark was found in a drain in Bhangagarh area of ​​Guwahati. The main accused was later arrested by the police and revealed that the deceased had borrowed money from him.
