Two detained Afghan journalists released

According to a media source, two Afghan journalists who were allegedly arrested by the Taliban for two days have been released. Let us tell you that both Waris Hasrat and Aslam Hijab worked for the Ariana Television Network in Kabul.

The journalists were released after not being found guilty, according to Ariana TV, which confirmed the report. Despite the Taliban's refusal to comment on the detention, the United Nations has accused the government of kidnapping the journalists.

The UN Assistance Mission in Afghanistan urged on Twitter that the Taliban should find the two journalists' locations and release them. This comes two weeks after 2 women activists went missing from their homes and have yet to be found. The Taliban have stated that they are unaware of the activists' location, but that they will investigate the matter.
