New Delhi: Two Uttar Pradesh cricketers Prashant Gupta and Imtiaz Ahmed have said goodbye to domestic cricket. They have decided to end the relationship with the Board. This is because he will be able to play league matches abroad. Prashant played for the Railways last year and did well. He then scored an unbeaten 40 runs, 53 and 49 runs in three matches of the Syed Mustaq Ali Trophy. However, he appeared to be struggling in four days' cricket and had scored a total of 122 runs in four games at an average of 17.42.

Imtiaz Ahmed and he played four Ranji matches for UP last season in which they took 13 wickets at an average of 31.28. Prashant Gupta is now 31 years old while Imtiaz Ali is 33. The two cricketers had made their debut for UP together in 2008. Both of them have expressed their intentions by sending mails to the BCCI.

In his mail, he thanked both the State Association and the Board for giving them a chance and demanded an NOC from the Board so that they can play outside the country. After writing the mail, both are awaiting the NOC of the Board. Earlier, Yuvraj Singh had also sought NOC from the board after retiring from international cricket so that he could participate in leagues around the world. He is currently playing in a league in Canada.
