Gurugram: Two Hindu Sena members were held for forcefully shutting meat shops in the view of the Navratri festival. The police confirmed the incident on Sunday. The accused were identified as Rakesh and Pramod Singh.

A police official said, “In a CCTV footage, Rakesh and Pramod Singh could be seen pulling down shutters of meat shops and threatening their owners.”
According to a report by the news agency PTI, the incident was captured in CCTV footage, where the accused were seen pulling down the shutters of meat shops and threatening their owners. Rakesh and Pramod along with 40 other members of the Hindu Sena have been booked for threatening meat shop owners with dire consequences for opening their businesses.

The Deputy Commissioner of Police, Sumer Singh told ANI that the accused were allegedly marching on streets holding batons, hockey sticks, swords and iron rods in their hands.
As per report, more than 200 Hindu Sena activists on Saturday marched towards several places in Gurgaon, including Palam Vihar, Badshahpur and Om Vihar where they forcibly shut 250 meat shops.
Ritu Raj, The president of the Hindu Sena, told ANI that the Hindu organisations would continue with their efforts throughout Navaratri as the opening of meat shops during the festival could hurt religious sentiments of Hindus.
