Dehradun: In Kashipur of Udham Singh Nagar district of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand, two real Hindu sisters have set a wonderful example of religious unity. Both these sisters donated their four bighas (20424 sq ft) of land to build the Idgah. Sisters donated this land 19 years after his death to fulfill the last wish of their father. The head of the Idgah committee, Haseen Khan, has informed that the possession of the land has been taken.

Both the sisters have donated the land to fulfill the last wish of their late father. After taking possession of the land, the Idgah Committee has started the work of building the boundary wall. Haseen Khan says that donating land by Hindu sisters is a very good decision, that too at a time when there is communal frenzy in the country. Idgah is present in Beljudi village near Dhela river of Kashipur. About 20 thousand Muslims had offered Namaz on the festival of Eid at Idgah. Let us tell that the land of late Lala Brijnand Prasad Rastogi, who lived in Katratal Colony, was near the Idgah and he considered all religions equal.

He wanted to donate the land, so that there would be harmony between the two religions, but he died in 2003 before donating the land. Before his death, Rastogi had divided the land between brothers and sisters. However, the land which he wanted to donate for the Idgah, came in the share of both the sisters. After which both the sisters decided to donate this land.
