2 navy personnel killed after glider crashes while training in Kerala

Kochi: Two Indian Navy officers fell victim to a glider accident near Kochi on Sunday. Both the officers lost their lives in this accident. The victims of the accident have been identified as Lt. Sunil Kumar and Sailor Officer Rajiv Jha. The glider crashed during the training schedule this morning. The officers were heavily injured in the accident, due to which they died after some time.

The Navy has given information in his statement that the officers had flown from INS Garuda for routine training sorties. The glider accident occurred around 7:00 am Sunday. It is noteworthy that Rajiv, who lost his life in the accident, was from Uttarakhand. Rajiv has a wife and two children at his home. At the same time, Sunil was not married yet. The Southern Naval Command has ordered an inquiry into the accident.

Let us tell you that on Friday, a Captain of the Indian Navy died in an accident during paragliding. The accident took place near Karwar Beach in Karnataka. Matruk Captain was identified as Madhusudan Reddy, 55. Madhusudan Reddy was a resident of Andhra Pradesh. Reddy was employed in the Indian Navy in Karwar.
