NEW DELHI: Two Kashmiri girls were recovered by the police from Supaul district of Bihar on Wednesday. Both are sisters. Shortly after the removal of the provisions of Section 370 from Jammu and Kashmir, the two sisters married two brothers from Bihar and moved to Supaul. After which the four were arrested and taken to the valley.

Two young men from Supaul- Pervez and Tabrez worked as Raj Mistri in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir. Where he met two Kashmiri sisters. After the announcement of the removal of Section 370 of the Constitution from Jammu and Kashmir, the two couples got married at an undisclosed location. Then all the four came back to Supauls. There, the father of the girls in Kashmir registered a kidnapping case against the two brothers. The Kashmir Police reached Ram Bishanpur village of Supaul with the local police on Wednesday and recovered the two girls.

Both the girls have informed the police that they are married on their own and they want to live with them in Bihar. She has also said that she does not want to go back to Kashmir. However, the Kashmir police detained both Pervez and Tabrez and took them to Jammu and Kashmir for further investigation. The police earlier recorded the statements of the two girls under section 164 in the court.
