Saturday morning, two kidnaped Indians were unconfined in Nigeria after being held captive for over two weeks. Mangapudi Srinivas and Kaushal Anish Sharma were kidnapped on 29th of June from an area called Boko near Makurdi in Benue state.

External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Vikas Swarup told media that both of them have spoken to their families.

Mr Swarup said, “Mrs Sharma profusely thanked External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj for ensuring their safe release and for keeping the family informed of developments”.
