Srinagar: Two local militants have surrendered in the Kulgam district of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. The terrorists laid down their weapons in front of the security forces following an appeal from their parents. In fact, security forces had launched an anti-terror operation in Hadigam village. After this, the parents of the terrorists were put there and they were made to appeal to them to lay down their weapons. It is being told that both of them had recently joined the terrorist organization.

Jammu and Kashmir Police have tweeted this information. Police said ammunition and weapons have also been recovered from the terrorists. IGP Kashmir, Vijay Kumar has said that if all parents appeal to their children to give up the path of violence and surrender, many lives can be saved. When the two terrorists surrendered, their lives were also saved.

According to the police, most of the terrorists killed this year are locals. Recently, security forces arrested Lashkar terrorist Talib Hussain. At the same time, at the end of June, two terrorists were killed in Kulgam itself, who belonged to Lashkar-e-Taiba. According to an official, they were cordoned off after getting information about the terrorists. Later, his parents were called and made to surrender.
