Indore: 2 medical officers angry with Collector Manish Singh IAS and SDM Abhilash Mishra have recently resigned. Both the doctors are said to have resigned on the same day. In this case, Dr. Purnima says the collector repeatedly threatens to suspend. Another doctor, RS Tomar, says that the torture of SDM Abhilash Mishra can no longer be tolerated. In fact, in a letter to the Directorate of Health Commissioners, Dr. Purnima Gadaria has written, "I am resigning from the post of District Health Officer on 5th May.''

After resigning, Dr. Gadaria said, "Collector Saheb believes that we do not do anything. Even on the phone, they don't talk properly. They impose the right of their failure on us. If something happens, they say, resign on their own, otherwise, I will suspend. I thought I should resign now because it is no longer tolerated. Somebody has to come forward.''

On the other hand, In a letter to the Chief Medical Officer, Dr RS Tomar said, "I want to bring to your notice that Today I am saddened by the indecency, rudeness and undignified behaviour committed by SDM Abhilash Mishra. Although I could use the same language, office, dignity and prestige are paramount. So, I kept listening.'' It is further written, 'I request that I cannot act like this. I am not in good health. I inject insulin four times a day. My heart was doing my work sincerely even after having an angioplasty, but today my mental and physical pain has gone out of stamina. I am unable to work in the times to come.' Collector Manish Singh has not responded to both these resignations so far.
