New Delhi: Two more indigenous Covid-19 vaccines are set to be available in the coming days. This was recently informed by Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya. He said this in the Lok Sabha last Monday. Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, on the passage of the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (Amendment) Bill, 2021, said, "The third phase of trial data for both the new vaccines has been submitted.'

He further said, "We hope that the data and trial of both the new vaccines will be successful. These two companies are Indians, research and construction have also been done in the country. With the help of the government, Indian scientists developed the Covid-19 vaccine in just 9 months. He also said, "The Government has approved a Rs 14,000 crore producer linked incentive scheme to ensure the manufacture of 51 API (active pharmaceutical materials) in the country. In fact, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya was speaking after introducing the National Institute of Drug Education and Research (Amendment) Bill, 2021 in the Lok Sabha.

During the meeting, several members demanded the promotion of pharmaceutical research in the country and the setting up of better research centres in a time-bound manner. In a move to discuss and pass the Bill, Mandaviya said, "Educational institutions in the pharmaceutical sector should become institutions of national importance, research and educational institutions can be established. With this objective, this Bill has been brought. '
