Mumbai: After the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh, many big names have emerged from Bollywood in the drugs case, but so far no major action has been taken on anyone. Meanwhile, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has suspended two officers of its own. It is suspected to have played a big role in getting bail to comedian Bharti Singh, her husband Harsh and Deepika Padukone's manager Karishma.
The role of NCB lawyer is also being investigated because when the hearing of these stars was to be held on bail, only the lawyers could not appear, due to which the side was not kept in the court on behalf of NCB. Due to this, all three got bail easily. The NCB had recovered about 86.5 grams of ganja from the house of comedian Bharti Singh. After which Bharti and her husband Harsh were arrested and sent to judicial custody. The same happened with actress Karishma Prakash of the film Deepika Padukone, where a total of 1.7 grams of hash was recovered.
A petition has been filed in the NDPS court on behalf of NCB, challenging the bail granted to Bharti Singh, Harsh. Since the death of Sushant, the NCB is investigating Bollywood in drugs and till now many big names have appeared in this investigation.
