After the arrival of two new cases of covid-19 infection in Mizoram on 10 March, the number of infection cases has increased to 4,434 on Wednesday. This information was given by an official of the Health Department. He said that two new cases of infection have come up in Aizawl and Saitual district.

As of this time, the officer said, "One of these people has returned from Manipur and the infection was confirmed in the investigation, while another one confirmed the infection in Aizawl's hospital during the investigation. Both had no signs of infection.''

Nine people are being treated for an infection in the state, while 4,415 people have become infection-free. Ten people have died of infection. The state's immunization officer, Dr. Laljavami, said that a total of 37,784 people have been given the first dose of the anti-covid-19 virus vaccine so far. These include 7,587 elderly and 589 people suffering from other diseases. He said that the second dose of vaccine has been given to 9,400 health workers and advance front personnel till Tuesday.
