New Delhi: Two people have died due to coronavirus on Japanese cruise diamond princess and 7 Indian citizens are still suffering from this infection. Sonali Thakkar, a crew member of the cruise, has sought help from the Government of India and Prime Minister Narendra Modi through video from the ship itself.
According to information received from the Indian Embassy in Tokyo, seven infected Indians have been shifted to a hospital in Japan where they are undergoing treatment. In a tweet made by the embassy, ​​it was said that those on the cruise were tested on Wednesday, out of which 88 cases were found positive. The tweet states that all Corona virus-infected Indians are undergoing treatment in Japan.
138 Indians are present on this Japanese cruise, of which 132 are crew members. According to reports, two Japanese nationals have lost their lives due to Coronavirus on the cruise. Both of them were elderly travellers. Government broadcaster 'NHK' has told in a media report that a woman and a man were infected with the virus and both have lost their lives. He was around 80 years of age. However, no statement has been received from the Health Ministry yet.
