Assam Rifles have been hit hard in The District of South Assam. According to information, the Assam Rifles has seized 667 grams of diamonds worth Rs 10 crore from two women on Tuesday and the news has come to light.

In fact, the Assam Rifles team in Monachera, nine kilometres from the city of Halakandi, suspected an auto-rickshaw after which they launched a search. During the search, Assam Rifles found a bag in the auto, which they also searched.

When the auto was searched by the Assam Rifles, they found a diamond from the bag and after which they found that the diamond weighed 667 grams a kilo. At the same time, an official said, the price of this diamond in the market is around Rs 10 crore. The case is currently in the hands of the police. Police said both the women, Monia Sangma and Minati Sangma, have been arrested.
