Shimla: A massive accident broke out on Thursday night in the Humyoga sub-division of Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh in which 24 and 25-year-old youths lost their lives. According to police, a Santro car near Chhaila fell into a deep gorge uncontrollably. The incident is reported at around 9 pm. DSP Kulwinder Singh has confirmed the death of both the youths. The police have taken possession of the corpses. The bodies will be handed over to the family on Friday.

According to police, the two youths were moving from Chhaila to Sainj in Santro car number HP 03B 1131. The car suddenly became uncontrollable near the chilled scissor bend and fell into a deep ditch 150 feet below. The accident was so horrific that the car's test had been blown away. Looking at the scene, it looks like the car has fallen down from the bend. Both had died at the scene. As soon as the incident was reported, the police rushed to the spot and pulled out the bodies.

The deceased has been identified as 24-year-old Pranjay, a resident of Nerwa in Chowpal district, and Manoj Verma, 25, a resident of Fagu in Shimla district. DSP Kulwinder Singh says the case is being investigated and the incident is under investigation. The police are exploring what caused the accident. The cause of the accident is high speed or something else is being ascertained.
