The holy month of Ramadan has started and you must be aware that the demand for dates is highest in this month every year. It is the favourite fruit of Rojedar to open Roza. Dates are sold all year round, but in Ramadan, it is sold at the peak.
Date has special significance - During Ramadan, Muslim communities like to eat dates before opening their fast. It is said that Prophet Hazrat Mohammed Saheb used to open his fast with date, so Muslims who keep fast in the month of Pak open their fast by following the Sunnah of the Prophet. It is said that after fasting for the whole day, it is opened by eating dates and if no one has dates then they can drink water. Eating dates during Iftari is considered Sunnah.

Ambar - It helps in healing the wound faster.
Khudari - It is brown in colour and has the most energy.
Zahidi - Vitamin A, B and C are found in it, it makes the blood flow easier.
Safavi - It is considered beneficial in fighting anaemia and reducing body acidity.
Sukkari - It is a wet date and gives immediate energy.
