'Typhoon Megi' hits a village in China; dozens missing

Beijing: Typhoon rain triggered a landslide which hits a village in China’s eastern province of Zhejiang, as fifteen people have been rescued but 26 people are still missing. The landslide engulfed the Sucun Village in Suichang County, following a heavy downpour carried by Typhoon Megi.

The rescue operation is leading by the Zhejiang Vice Governor Sun Jingmiao with more than 400 rescuers present at site. Across the province, more than 18,000 people have already been moved following the heavy rain.

The heavy rain destroyed several houses in the village, which is about 37 kms away from Country.
