In the Uber auto category, the number of riders is increasing steadily in many cities along with Delhi which includes Jaipur and Chandigarh also. According to the report, Uber Auto has returned with rider in about 80 percent of the districts.
Shiva Shailendran, general manager of the north and west areas of Uber, said, "People are looking at low cost products after starting the trip again, especially our auto category is recovering faster than other modes. Along with this, with our app security measures, reliable door-to-door service and affordable prices, we are confident that autos will enhance our service even in new cities in India. It has launched a set of essentials, including a mandatory mask for both the rider and driver, a selfie with a mask before the trip for drivers, allowing the driver to learn social distancing and cancel the updated trip."
