UDAIPUR: The Udaipur district administration has relaxed the curfew, imposed in seven police station purvewis in the wake of a tailor's killing by radical elements recently, for 4 hours from 12 pm, an official said.

Tuesday saw the suspected murder of Kanhaiya Lal by two men for reportedly extending support on Nupur Sharma, a BJP spokesman who has since been suspended, to post a derogatory comment against the Prophet Mohammad on social media.

Hours later, in Rajsamand, the two alleged murderers were taken into custody.

On Saturday, the curfew has been relaxed from 12 to 4 p.m.,  said the district administration officer.
It was put into effect on Tuesday night in the areas around the police stations at Dhan Mandi, Ghanta Ghar, Hathi Pole, Amba Mata, Suraj Pole, Bhupalpura, and Savina.

After carefully considering the situation, the decision was made. The administration has decided to offer a relaxation today due to the peaceful conduct of the Jagannath Rath Yatra on Friday, in which thousands of people participated, official sources said.
