Mumbai: With the increasing speed of Corona infection in the country, the situation is getting out of control. Maharashtra is the most affected state. The increasing number of corona patients in the state every day has increased the concern of the government. In fact, Maharashtra accounts for about 50 percent of the total new corona cases coming into the country every day. In such a situation, the Uddhav government of the state is very upset. 

In view of this, an important meeting of the Maharashtra cabinet has been called on Sunday. In this meeting through video conferencing, all the necessary strict rules including lockdown are being decided in the state. Significantly, according to the data released on Saturday, 49,447 new cases of coronavirus infection were reported in Maharashtra. This is the highest number of cases reported in a single day in the state so far. After this, the total number of corona infected in the state has increased to 29 lakh 53 thousand 523. With this, the number of deaths in the state has increased to 55,656 due to the death of 277 more patients in the state.

A total of 9108 new cases of corona infection have been registered in Mumbai. The city has by far the largest number. Earlier, on September 17, 2020, the state had the highest number of 24,619 cases. So far, more than 2.03 crore tests have been done to identify corona infection in Maharashtra.
