MUMBAI: The state Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray's government has taken an important decision to ensure that there is no crisis on the education of children during the period of infection of coronavirus in Maharashtra. CM Uddhav has given permission to start the academic session of schools through online mediums. Apart from this, in the parts of villages where there are no cases of corona infection, schools can be opened with precaution.

CM Uddhav Thackeray took this decision after a meeting with Education Department Minister Varsha Gaikwad and other state officials. Earlier during one such meeting in the state, Uddhav Thackeray had said that in some countries, schools were opened, but had to be closed again. We do not want to do that. As we put the lockdown aside and start our #MissionBeginAgain, more attention should be paid to starting education than opening schools again.

It is being told that the emphasis of the state government of Maharashtra is to start education instead of starting schools. For this reason, the government has decided to start the academic session online. In addition, the school has been allowed to open in rural areas where the risk of infection is low. According to the new decision of the Uddhav government, the areas where the schools are to be opened will have to take full care of the distancing and safety of children in the school premises.
