Mumbai: Amidst the political turmoil in Maharashtra, Chief Minister Uddhav has raised the demand to disqualify 12 rebel Shiv Sena MLAs. Now, there is a reaction from Eknath Shinde sitting in Guwahati. In one of his interviews, Eknath Shinde said Uddhav cannot disqualify him as he himself is in a minority. He also said that he is not afraid of the Shiv Sena's notices, if he wants to send 10 more such notices.
Eknath Shinde said Uddhav was just trying to scare him. Shinde also reiterated that he has the support of over 37 Sena MLAs. In all, they have more than 50 MLAs. And in a democracy, numbers are necessary. "Uddhav cannot disqualify us. They are only trying to scare us. He said that according to the rules, he is right. He is accompanied by the support of 37 Shiv Sena MLAs. That means he is the leader of the legislature party. Shinde said no one can scare us and the law will support us when the time comes.
Let us tell you that yesterday Uddhav wrote a letter to the deputy speaker in the evening. It had raised the demand for disqualification of 12 rebel Shiv Sena MLAs, including Eknath Shinde. On the other hand, Shinde had also written a letter describing himself as the leader of the legislature party. At the same time, Shinde said that he will soon meet the Maharashtra Governor. But the timing is not yet fixed. Will the Shinde faction stake claim on the Shiv Sena's election symbol (bow arrow) too? To this, Shinde said that it will be decided later.
