MUMBAI: A major decision taken by the Maharashtra government during Devendra Fadnavis's CM has been overturned by the newly formed government led by Uddhav Thackeray. The company was to organize 'International Horse Fair'. Now this company is surrounded by allegations of financial irregularities.

It is noteworthy that in the year 2017, Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation Limited signed a contract with Ahmedabad's 'Laluji and Sons' to design, manage and conduct the concept for Sarangkheda Deepak function in Nandurbar, Turkey. This company had earlier worked for the Kumbh Mela and Ran Utsav. But the day Uddhav Thackeray took oath as CM, following the orders of the Chief Secretary of Maharashtra Tourism Department Ajay Mehta, he directed to cancel the contract with immediate effect.

According to the news of the English newspaper Indian Express, S Lambate, the Under Secretary of the Department of Tourism, has informed that 'without the approval of the government, the process of profit in the agreement and business had started. Since it is not in accordance with the norms of the Center, it is a serious financial irregularity.
