Udham Singh Nagar: For the coming monsoon, the administration has built 6 flood control posts at Khatima in Udham Singh Nagar. 24-hour staff will be present at flood control checkpoints. In the flood control checkpoints, the sub-district Magistrate has instructed the government food department shops to keep Foodgrains, kerosene and food packets for disaster relief operations.

Khatima in Udham Singh Nagar District is considered to be the most vulnerable area in the flood. In view of the coming monsoon session, the local administration has constructed six flood relief outposts in Khatima tehsil. The deployment of staff will remain at these flood relief checkpoints for 24 hours. Flood outposts will come into existence from June 15.

A flood control room has been constructed in Khatima Tehsil with flood outposts in Sisaiya, primary school medium, Sunagain, Gangi, Jungle Jogi thar in Khatima Tehsil area. Nine employees, including team-in-charge, have been deployed at the checkpoint each time. It will consist of Department of Revenue, Department of Rural Development, forest Department, livestock dissemination officer, Anganwadi, police, Mandi, civil hospital as well as child development project officers who would take up the work in flood situation.
