If you are taking admission to a university, then firstly get its recognition and other information.  For this, the UGC has released a list of fake universities. The fakest universities are in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh. Not a single University of Rajasthan is included in 24 fake universities across the country. However, a large number of students of the state are studying in universities of other states of the country.

The list of these listed universities has also been uploaded in its websites by the UGC. Students can check the University Grants Commission website for identification of these fake universities. For checking these, https://www.ugc.ac.in/page/Fake-Universities.aspx link can be resorted to. In this, a list has been released in Hindi and English for the convenience of the students. Also in this list, the number of fake universities related to open university, medical and technical education is high.

It is worth noting that in the list of fake universities, eight universities are from Delhi and eight are from Uttar Pradesh. Apart from this, one from Karnataka, one from Kerala, one from Maharashtra, two from West Bengal and three universities of Orissa are included. The UGC has appealed to the students not to take admission in these universities, otherwise, they themselves will be responsible for it. The UGC will have no responsibility in this regard. In the list of fake universities released by the UGC last year, many universities have been included this time.
