Bhopal: In view of increasing corona cases in Madhya Pradesh, the government is taking strict action those who are violating corona norms. Those not wearing masks in Ujjain are being sent to jail. Ujjain has become the first such city in Madhya Pradesh to take such action. In Ujjain, the administration has put checkpoints at every intersection, where those who do not wear masks are being stopped.
Those who do not wear masks are being taken into custody and then put in trucks from here and taken to the temporary jail. These people are kept in temporary jails for 10 hours. The corona test of these people is done first on the main door of the jail and then they are sent to jail. They are released after spending 10 hours in jail. People are taking the oath to follow the Corona Guidelines before release. Additional SP of Ujjain, Amarendra Singh has told the media that during the last 3 days more than four thousand people have been sent to jail for not wearing masks.
Shivraj government of Madhya Pradesh has already clarified that there will no longer be a lockdown in the state. In such a situation, while on the one hand, the CM is appealing to the people to follow the Corona Guidelines, on the other hand, the administration has been given free hand to take strict action against those who violate the Kovid rules.
