The Union Minister of State for Home Affairs of India, Kiren Rijiju, on Monday, had a meeting with Baroness Williams, UK minister of state for countering terrorism, where he asked them for smooth and early refoulement of the diamond trader Neerav Modi.

The meeting continued for about an hour.

According to sources, UK has confirmed the presence of Neerav Modi in their country, but his exact location is still being speculated.

The UK has also promised to help India in the refoulement of its fraudsters like Neerav Modi and Vijay Mallya.

After the meeting, Rijiju informed that he has had a very useful meeting with the UK Minister Baroness Williams. He also shared that they discussed India-UK joint efforts to deal with terrorism and extremism. The two officials also agreed to cooperate in the matters of extradition and sharing of information.

Neerav Modi has a shop in the Old Bond Street. If Sources are to be trusted, the diamond trader is speculated to be staying in a flat in Mayfair. While His wife Ami, who is an American, is residing in New York.

According to reports, Neerav Modi and his family eloped from India in the month of January, when the ED and CBI, commenced an investigation in PNB fraud case.
