WASHINGTON: There will be a meeting in the US on Wednesday between British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss and U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan, as well as politicians from both sides of the aisle.

"Strength and unity have been shown by the UK, the US, and our other allies when they have backed Ukraine and imposed harsh sanctions on Russia. We need to keep up our unity and do more to make sure that Pussian President Vladimir Putin doesn't win in Ukraine "Her statement ahead of her trip said this: "I am very excited to be going on this trip."

"The Ukraine crisis should be a wake-up call for free democracies," She said. People who work for her have said that the main topic of her talks will be "what more the UK and the US can do to help Ukraine with security and humanitarian issues."

She will talk about the need for a stronger deterrent against hostile countries, as well as the need to cut back on strategic economic reliance on authoritarian regimes, such as energy reliance on Russia.

She will also say that both the United States and the United Kingdom need to build stronger economic and security ties with countries that believe in democracy and the sovereignty of countries.
