LOS ANGELES: The highly anticipated Netflix docuseries "Harry & Meghan," which follows Prince Harry and his wife Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, premiered its first three episodes on Thursday following a flurry of speculative reporting in the British media about the content and how damaging it would be for King Charles III and Prince William, reports "Variety."

The series, which features several surprises about the Harry-Meghan love story. They met on Instagram and Harry was late for their first date and none of the royal family members agreed to be interviewed for it, and also  the difficulties they initially had with the family.

The first three episodes, on the other hand, don't contain anything that might offend the royal family, but they do feature footage from Princess Diana's contentious "Panorama" interview with the now-excommunicated BBC journalist Martin Bashir, which, according to "Variety," is "likely to enrage" the Prince of Wales.

Last year, it came to light that the interview had been obtained illegally. BBC issued a public apology to William and Harry earlier this year and donated the $1.6 million it made from the interview. In the docuseries, according to 'Variety,' Harry says: "I think we all now know that [Diana] was deceived into giving the interview, but at the same time she spoke the truth of her experience." In another segment, Harry claims that male family members were uncaring about the intense press intrusion into his and Meghan's lives because they didn't want to offend Diana. Prince William had then said: "It is my firm view that this 'Panorama.

Some family members expressed their outrage by saying, "But my wife had to go through that," Harry recalls. Harry and Meghan also reveal that one of the "biggest problems" for the royals at the time was Meghan's acting career; at the time, she was starring in the venerable legal drama series "Suits." "So why should your girlfriend be treated any differently? Why should you get special treatment? Why should she be protected?" I replied. According to unnamed family members, Harry was told that the relationship wouldn't last.

The couple openly discusses their courtship as well as Meghan's first encounters with Queen Elizabeth and William and his wife Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, and other members of Harry's family.
