The officials of the United Kingdom, under the aegis of Trade Commissioner for South Asia & British Deputy High Commissioner for Western India, and MP Government will mull on business opportunities on Thursday. British High Commission, through its Department for International Trade (DIT) and in partnership with Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), is hosting a Virtual Outreach in Madhya Pradesh on Thursday.
The event will be held from 09:50 am to 4:30 pm with an aim to forge strategic business partnerships between UK & MP companies. The program is being organized to provide an opportunity for industries in MP to learn about the business opportunities with UK companies in Advanced Engineering, Automotive, Healthcare, Pharma, Life Sciences, Agri and Food Processing sectors. Inaugural Session of the programmed which is scheduled to start at 09:50 am on Virtual Platform would be addressed by Sanjay Shukla, Principal Secretary, Department of Industrial Promotion and Policies, Govt. of MP and Alan Gemmell, Trade Commissioner for South Asia & British Deputy High Commissioner for Western India. The program would be an opportunity for Industries of the State looking for joint venture, collaboration and technology transfer opportunities with UK companies.
Speakers with expertise of different sector would throw light on 'UK Export Finance' which works with banks across the world to provide export credit or trade finance & insurance. Programme shall also showcase a session on 'UK overseas Direct Investment' presented by UK ODI Teams which is working closely with Invest India and other State Governments to assist UK companies who are planning to set-up operations in India.
