U’khand Chief Minister Dhami pays tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on his birth anniversary

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami paid homage to the father of the nation on his birth anniversary at Gandhi Park in Dehradun. Sharing concern over Twitter handle, Dhami’s multiple tweets reads as follows: "Today, on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, paid homage to the father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi by garlanding him at Gandhi Park, Dehradun"

"On the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister 'Bharat Ratna' Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri, who dedicated his life for truth, non-violence, cleanliness and humanity, paid tribute to him," he said in another tweet.  The Chief Minister also paid tribute to former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna Lal Bahadur Shastri. Dhami added  Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri have always inspired people and promoted non-violence in the country.

Earlier, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy paid tributes to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, and to former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri on the occasion of their respective birth anniversaries.  President Ram Nath Kovind, Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Rahul Gandhi, Arvind Kejriwal Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia,  Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi very early  reached Rajghat in the national capital to pay floral tributes to Mahatma Gandhi.

At the event of the 152nd birth anniversary of the father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi, a prayer meeting was taken place today at Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad.
