New Delhi: Ukraine's Deputy Foreign Minister Yevgeni Yenin has said that a Ukrainian plane has been hijacked by unidentified people. It was taken to Iran. It also has some unknown people on board. Yenin had earlier reported this to Russian news agency TASS, but now the Ukraine Foreign Ministry has also dismissed reports of hijacking.

According to reports, Iran's aviation regulator denied Ukraine's claim that the Ukrainian plane stopped to fuel Mashhad on the night of August 23 and then went to Ukraine at 9:50 p.m. The news was also dismissed by Ukraine Foreign Ministry Chairman Oleg Nikolaenko. Talking to the media, he said that there has been no hijacking of a Ukrainian plane in Kabul or anywhere.
