KIEV: Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said he spoke with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken about military assistance for Ukraine.
"Heavy weapons are at the top of our agenda, and more are on the way," Kuleba tweeted following the meeting.
According to reports, Kuleba praised Blinken's personal efforts to assure continued US and international support for Ukraine. He said, the topic of Ukraine's food exports was also covered during the negotiations.
Earlier in the day, the Interfax-Ukraine news agency reported that the US is prepared to transfer advanced long-range rocket systems to Ukraine, citing international media.
The Ukraine Democracy Defense Lend-Lease Act of 2022 was signed into law by US President Joe Biden on May 9. The document authorises the United States to lend or lease to Ukraine war supplies such as guns, military equipment, medicines, and food.
