Egypt: The ninth session of the Conference of States Parties to the United Nations Convention Against Corruption concluded on Friday in the Egyptian city of Sharm El-Sheikh.

According to estimates, more than 2,000 representatives from 152 nations, including China, attended the five-day event in person or virtually.The participants had in-depth discussions on a variety of themes, including the UN Convention Against Corruption's implementation, global anti-corruption cooperation, asset recovery, corruption prevention, and technical support.

The session also passed eight resolutions on topics like anti-corruption law enforcement cooperation, as well as education and publicity.

On the sidelines of the conference, Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Xie Feng met with Ghada Waly, director-general of the United Nations Office in Vienna and executive director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, via video link, to discuss global anti-corruption governance and bilateral cooperation.
