New Delhi: After the abrogation of section 370, Pakistan has almost completely destroyed its relationship with India. In this connection, a meeting was held in the UN on the Kashmir issue. After the meeting, India's permanent envoy to the UN Syed Akbaruddin spoke to the media to convey India's stand. A number of sharp questions came up during the period. But the interesting incident happened when Pak journalists questioned him.

The Pak journalist asked Akbaruddin when the talks between the two countries would resume. Syed Akbaruddin was asked when would you (India) start talks with Pakistan? In response, Akbaruddin left the mike and proceeded. He approached a senior Pakistani journalist asking questions and shook hands with him.

"Let me come to you and join hands with you to start it. The Indian envoy then went to two other Pakistani journalists there and shook hands with him. During this time, the hall was buzzing with laughter. "I would like to tell you that we have already extended the hand of friendship, saying that we are committed to the Shimla Accord," Akbaruddin said. We should wait for Pakistan's reply now. Pakistan did not find any desired success even from the UN.
