New Delhi: Unauthorized cases of SIM cards in India are increasing at a very fast pace. This causes problems for both the cardholder and the government. A website was released by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT). DoT released tafcop.dgtelecom.gov.in website. With this, one can check how many SIMs have been issued on their Aadhaar card. In addition, a request to turn off an unauthorized SIM can be made from here.

That is, effective users can also turn off the number issued in their name. According to government guidelines, only 9 mobile connections can be issued to a person at present. If someone has more than that SIM card, it can be turned off. This portal of DoT is currently available only for the customers of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. It is being said that it will soon be released to the rest of India as well. It may take some time.

In order to check how many persons have taken the SIM in your name, users of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh will have to first open the portal https://tafcop.dgtelecom.gov.in/ of The DoT. Then, you'll need to enter your activate number in it. The OTP will be sent to the phone. You can verify it by giving it on the portal. Then you'll see a list of all the numbers that continue to be based on you. You can also request a number to be closed.
