Recently, a case of crime has come to light from Bhagalpur. In the case, the son of a rural doctor was shot dead by criminals in Ismailpur police station area in Bhagalpur district of Bihar and Superintendent of Police of Navgachia, Nidhi Rani, said here that Dr. Singh, a resident of Ismailpur village, was killed. Bhaptu Sharma was on his way to Bhagalpur to deliver his two children to a hostel when two motorcycle riders forcibly stopped him and shot Manish Kumar (14), a son of a doctor, killing him on the spot.

Talking about the case, Nidhi Rani said that "the cause of the murder is a dispute over medical work and both the culprits involved in the murder have been identified." "The police have registered an FIR on the statement of the next of kin of the deceased and a raid has been launched to arrest the culprits," he added.

In this case, the police have sent the body to Navgachia Sub-divisional Hospital for postmortem and strict orders have been issued to investigate the case which will be completed soon.
