Budget 2024 Highlights: In the Union Budget presentation for 2024-25, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced a substantial allocation of Rs.15,000 crore for the development of Amaravati, the capital city of Andhra Pradesh. This funding aims to accelerate the city's growth and infrastructure projects.

Sitharaman reiterated the NDA government's commitment to advancing the Polavaram Irrigation Project, a vital initiative for supporting Andhra Pradesh’s farmers. She stressed that this project is crucial for the region and emphasized the government's dedication to its timely completion and financing.

dditionally, Sitharaman outlined plans to address commitments made in the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, which includes providing essential infrastructure and grants to the underdeveloped regions of Rayalaseema, Prakasam, and North Coastal Andhra Pradesh.

he Finance Minister also announced the development of the Vizag-Chennai Industrial Corridor and a special package to support this corridor. Grants will be allocated to further development activities in backward areas like Rayalaseema and Coastal Andhra Pradesh.

Furthermore, Sitharaman introduced the "Purvodaya" plan, which aims for comprehensive development across Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Odisha, and Andhra Pradesh.
