Amritsar: Former Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh congratulated farmers on the Union Cabinet's approval of the repeal of all three agriculture regulations on Wednesday. Last Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the repeal of these laws. At the same time, he stated that these laws will be repealed by constitutional means during the next Parliamentary session. "The government enacted these three laws with all proper purpose for the welfare of farmers, particularly small farmers," Prime Minister Modi remarked, "yet despite all of its efforts, certain farmers could not be understood."
