New Delhi: Arun Jaitley, the Union Finance Minister said that the invoice matching mechanism in the GST which will be effective from 1st of July, will help curb fake bill frauds. 

Union FM in a letter to Congress Rajya Sabha member Digvijaya Singh said, "there is only one GST return with internally auto-populated returns for invoice matching and availing of input tax credit"

He said, "it is through the invoice matching and automated return mechanism that the government can ensure eligible input tax credit is accurately transferred between the states "
