Amid the ongoing lockdown in India, a meeting of the Group of Ministers (GOM) is going on at Nirman Bhavan regarding Covid-19. Chief Minister of Defense Staff (CDS) General Bipin Rawat, Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan, Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar and other ministers are also present in this meeting.

The GOM has been formed to review the situation arising due to Coronavirus in the country and to suggest to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. To prevent the spread of the coronavirus, the government implemented a lockdown across the country until 14 April, which has now been extended to 3 May.

The number of people infected with Coronavirus has increased to 13387 across the country and 437 people have died so far. According to the data released by the government, in the last 24 hours, about 1000 positive cases have been reported and 23 died. But it is a matter of relief that in the war against Corona, we are fighting with strength. Corona virus-infected patients have seen an increase in the rate of recovery in the last four days and it increased to 13.6 per cent on Friday. This rate of recovery from Corona was 12.2 percent on Thursday, 11.41 percent on Wednesday and 9.99 percent on Tuesday. In the last 24 hours, 260 people have been completely cured of the Covid-19 epidemic caused by the dreaded coronavirus and have been discharged from the hospital."
