Dr Jitendra Singh inaugurated international yoga fest on 21st march delegates from 16 countries participated.

A 3-day International Yoga Fest from 21-23 March 2018 is being organized at Talkatora Indoor Stadium, New Delhi. The event is being organized by Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga (MDNIY).

Director MDNIY Dr. Ishwar V. Basvaraddi, the Minister of State (IC) for Development of North Eastern Region, MoS for PMO, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, Dept. of Atomic Energy and Space Dr. Jitendra Singh took part in the inauguration ceremony.Minister of State (Independent Charge) for AYUSH, Shri Shripad Yesso Naik, will take the chair on conclusion day of function.

More than 5000 participants including eminent yoga gurus, yoga masters, scholars and yoga enthusiasts are expected to participate in the festival. The IYF-2018 is expecting more than 15000 Yoga aspirants. Delegates from 16 countries and yoga enthusiasts from European & Asian countries are participating in the event. 15 parallel pre-fest yoga workshops are being conducted by eminent yoga masters on at MDNIY & yoga centres at SAI Stadia.

During the fest, parallel yoga workshops by eminent yoga masters and yoga gurus, quiz and elocution competitions, poster presentation competitions are being conducted. Exhibitions at more than 40 stalls are organized where books, DVDs, yoga appliances and other yoga related products will be displayed for promotion and sale.
