NEW DELHI: A bill which tries to find to criminalize the followers of instant triple talaq will be represented by the government in the parliament next week, declared Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ananth Kumar.

Muslim Women Protection of Rights on Marriage Bill was cleared by the Union Cabinet last week which is prepared by an inter-ministerial group under the leadership of Home Minister Rajnath Singh, makes giving instant triple talaq "illegal and void" and sentences for a prison term of three years for the husband.

This Bill also provides terms for alimony for the woman on whom current triple talaq has been marked and grants her the custody of children.

For now, as per a report, the BJP has issued a fluff up to all its MPs to be present at the Winter Parliament session while the government introduces the Muslim Women bill today.

In a remarkable decision on August 22 taken by a five-judge bench of the Supreme Court observed current triple talaq as against the law.

The woman can also try to get the custody of her minor children from the magistrate who will hear a final call on the issue.

Following the Supreme Court's decision uttering the 'triple talaq' as illogical, Muslim outfits have been up in arms `in opposition to it with the Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind pronouncing that in any case of what the legal position is, instant triple talaq would carry on to take place in Muslim society.
